Lived up to the hype! As the days get shorter I needed to eliminate and excuses not to get a ride in. You sure get to see a lot more wildlife at night. For the helmet light you just need an extra 2 clicks with the helmet tightness and it’s steady.

First ride with Evo-Portal combo and… I’m not sure if I just made a bad purchase?
Good things: well build, easy to mount, no external battery, beam has a good shape.
Concerning things: are they bright enough for trail/enduro riding? I wouldn’t use word bright? Output level 1 and 2 are useful in fast trail riding. I tried with 2 level brightness in enduro track and it was dangerous… so the only way to use them is full power or adaptive. And I’m doubtful is it enough.
I have ridden with REAL bright lights last 3 years and these were quite downgrade compared to them. Old light set was Magicshine Monteer 6000 and Lumonite Navigator 3000 and they were bright as sun. Measured lumens were over 5000 lumen with Monteer and 3100lumen Lumonite.
500€ spent so maybe I get used to it…
