It's no secret that OB Lighting is the best MTB light set-up by miles! I've been lucky enough to have the EVO Downhill set-up from the first night ride I took, while many of my riding buddies have had to suffer thru the dim of lesser bike lights. As a matter of fact, I have secured many PR's while riding at night using these lights. If that's not confidence inspiring, I don't know what is!
I got the Detour light for Christmas and it is very nice, great success! 5/5 stars. With the quick release mounts for handlebar and action camera I was able to set up mounts on both my road bike and gravel bike making it super easy to swap the light between both bikes. Thanks to that, Detour has lit every cold dark kilometer for me over Festive 500. Great product!

I have loved my light setup. I have had several other brands and the installation was always a pain with straps and cords, it was never easy or quick to get ready for a ride. Now, with the quick release mounts and no cords, its a breeze and hassle free.

Only thing I wish was that it was a bit lighter but it’s a great product. So well build, easy to navigate the various lighting options, great mounts. By far the best light I’ve used of seen.

I recently got the Portal Downhill Package (with Evo and Portal lights) and have to say that I find them to be unquestionably the best lights for mountain biking at night. We regularly ride pretty technical, difficult, muddy and slippery trails at night and I have found that the combination of the Evo on the handlebars of my mountain bike and the Portal on my helmet really provides the proper amount and field of light to see everything I need to see which makes for a safer and more enjoyable ride. It's really nice to know before I head out that I don't have to worry about the amount, quality, field and duration of light, especially when using the innovative Adaptive Mode. Big thumbs up to Outbound Lighting! They hit it out of the park with this combo!
I purchased both the bike light and the helmet light. Wow these things are amazing! Really make night trail riding something to look forward to!
This helmet mount works flawlessly. The best compliment I can pay to a piece of gear is that I don't think about it, and that is true with this mount. Solid fixation to helmet, no rattles, quick and easy light entry and exit. Very sturdy construction.
Floods the trail and surroundings with light. I have a spot light on my helmet for turns and drops and this is perfect. Ran the mount upside down to raze the light above the cables.
So far the best blinding light I’ve purchased. Took it for a nighttime fog ride and saved my butt from falling off the hillside!
Last year I bought a combo of Trail Evo/Portal which have been a huge improvement for MTB over another major brand. This year my wife challenged me to ride 4000 miles offroad and with the new Detour/ Hangover lights paired well with my gravel bike and fatbike. Completed my 4000 miles early and with help from Outbound Lights 100 would recommend
I updated my setup without hesitation, I had the evo and the hangover and have been waiting and ordered my portal and it’s a match made in eternal darkness. The pattern and brightness was worth every penny as this time of year I ride almost exclusively at night and was a worthy upgrade to the hangover . These lights are incredible, I procrastinated on buying them for a while because they're on the pricy side, but they're absolutely worth it. I have confidence to get out on the trails at night which I could never have done with other lights I've had in the past. The battery outlasts my stamina, and provide excellent visibility in all types of weather. I look forward to many night rides now that I have these.
