USB C-to-C cable for those that are ahead of the game and have USB-C chargers laying around.
We designed this plug not to be some proprietary plug to force you into our eco-system or anything. It was designed so that it could seal the light while you utilize pass-through-charging.
We don't want to make a killing on this, so this is literally what the cord costs us after manufacturing, shipping, warehousing, etc.
Extra long at 36" because no one likes being tethered to a charger, as well as giving you the option to have a battery pack at the bottom of your backpack or hip pack and charge lights like the Trail Evo or Hangover while in use.
I almost ran into a person dressed in black on a pitch black trail before sunrise. It was at that moment I knew I needed a solid light. Outbound lighting was recommend by my LBS and coworkers. I received my Trail EVO the day before a group sunrise ride. The video is taken on the same trail that I almost hit a walker before sunrise. I won’t have that problem again! This light is the bomb and it looks amazing mounted on the bike.
I use my light in a very wet environment so the little seal around the end of the cable is a must. Now I wish outbound lighting would make a waterproof ipx68 battery bank so I wouldn't have to jerry rig waterproofing one with silicone and ductape!
The cable was shipped fast and matches the description on the site. The only thing Id like to see is them offering a version that only had a right-angle connector on one end and, instead, has a straight-angle connector on the other end. From my understanding, they plan to make such a cable available in the future.
Charging cables, they work great and they fit the lights as expected.
This light is fantastic! Nearly everyone i ride on our evening Gravel rides has it and loves it. Super solid beam pattern and makes descending in the dark great.
The one thing to be aware of: because of how the plug is recessed in the housing, it really only charges with the plug they sell and ship from outbound lighting. It's also a little sticky to plug in bc the integrated water tight seal. I would highly recommend grabbing an extra C-to-C cable if you need one since it ships with an A-to-C in the box.
Love the Hangover + Trail Evo package, most of my crew runs same setup, the deer go running when they see us! Handy around the house when power goes out too, lights up whole rooms.
