What do I Love?
1. Smooth field of light: no hot spots with a natural beam taper (no abrupt edge).
2. Adaptive mode! I can get 2 hours at this setting even at sub zero temperatures (it has a nice visual warning feature before battery does run out)
3. Comfortable balanced weight.
4. Uses standard go-pro mount.
5. Excellent pairing with the Trail Evo.

is this a scam
I ordered the product, paid for the product, paid for expedited shipping with FedX and still no product. No FedX tracking number was received with the order confirmation. I wanted to contact the company’s customer support but no phone number. This has all the earmarks of a scam.

We have our phone number (773) 217-0129 posted on the contact page, and we will absolutely ship your order when we're back in the office, but you ordered on December 21st when we had posted the last shipments before Christmas would be on the 19th. I'm sorry that wasn't clear enough or lost in translation. You should have received a confirmation email on the 21st, and we'll have a tracking number sent out on the 5th when everyone is back from family time and we resume normal operations.

If you can’t be bright, use Outbound
I’d like to find other available mounts. That’s the only complaint I have and I’m sure I’ll find more. Bright and then some. Didn’t need any other light while fat biking. Love it.

Good Light
The light is great, single button is easy to use, run time is good. My only critique is the helmet mount. A 3M taped on mount doesn't leave any room for moving the mount or removing the mount from the helmet when the light isn't in use. A detachable and moveable mount would be a great improvement.
Good news! We use an action camera style snap-in mount interface that is non-proprietary, meaning you can use a bunch of 3rd party mounts too, including a strap mount from GoPro, for example, if that's your preference. There's value in both styles of mounts, really just comes down to personal preference at a point.
In order to hit the same runtime as Trail Evo, and have higher peak brightness than Hangover we shoved a 5,000 mAH genuine Samsung 50E 21700 battery cell and wrapped the light around it.
This results in 43% more capacity over our Hangover light, meaning far longer runtimes (up to 2.5 hours on adaptive, a 50% increase over Hangover).
Even brighter!
While more lumens isn't always the answer, we added in some more brightness and increased the beam pattern width over Hangover to provide even more punch down the trail.
New finely tuned optics with 30% larger TIR cones means higher optical efficiency and more peripheral light to help spot the spooky stuff.
Simple User Interface
Few people read instruction manuals, even fewer want to, so we keep our lights dead simple so that you don’t need an advanced degree to remember some complicated button presses get to the mode you want.
Portal’s soft-touch overmolded top shell has a single, large button right in the middle that’s easy to feel through a thick winter glove in the dark, so you don’t have to hunt blindly around on top of your head just to turn it on.
