Quick Release Handlebar Mount
- In stock, ready to ship
- Inventory on the way
Have multiple bikes? Want to swap Trail Evo or Detour between them often? Here ya go. (I can't believe we have to specify this, but this ONLY works with our lights, competitor lights will not be compatible.)
Fits 35mm and 31.8mm handlebars. (shims for 22.2mm and 25.4mm are available)
This can be mounted to the left or the right of the stem, so even if the mount is upside down, the light can be mounted right side up and function exactly as intended.
If you have a broken handlebar mount, please contact us before buying another, regardless of how you broke it! (We love hearing crash stories and will replace it even if you yeeted into a tree)
I got an additional handlebar bracket and loving it! I can now just jump on my skinny bike or fat bike and have a mount on each bike.
Thanks for the quick shipping.
Less stress for the win!
Overall, I'm happy with the mount. It holds the light firmly, is relatively easy to mount, and is generally a quality piece.
If it holds the light well, mounts somewhat easily, and is a quality piece, why isn't it perfect?! Let's go there:
* The shim is awkward to use and tends to fall out easily during installation and can be easily lost in a busy workshop.
* The clamp sits too close to some stem face plates which means that it cannot be freely rotated around the bar for optimal positioning. More offset would be nice.
* It can be really tough to remove the light from the clamp mechanism. Tolerances are tiiiiiiight!
* Would be nice to have a thumbscrew or wingnut type screw for the clamp to make installation and removal quicker.
Good news! We have the next major revision of the QR front mount and basically everything you mention here is touched on in that. Stay tuned!
Exceptional customer service with matching quality and performance with their lights
Lights are amazing, haven’t used in 8 months and still have a charge. Bought 4-5 years ago and still going strong, just ordered extra mounts for helmet and bars
I really wish they made separate 31.8 and 35mm mounts so we don't have to deal with a shim, and a tool-free clamp would be nice so the mount could quickly be swapped from bike to bike. A little more standoff would be helpful to clear the stem, as well. The QR release for the light itself is tight and can be difficult to use.
It's funny, we initially had a separate clamp for 31.8, and got feedback people would rather just have a simple shim than an entire separate mount, as that also added cost, guess we really just need to have all options long-term. Also we will have a tool-free QR clamp coming up this year as an option, so stay tuned!
I have been very happy with my outbound products so far. I have broken the mount twice and they shipped me a replacement right away at no charge. Seems like the mount is the weakest part of the entire fixture which is okay, especially since they stand by the product and the lights work very well and have never left me on a trail in the dark.
thank you
