A Real Bike Headlight, Finally

I had a Bright Eyes 1800 lumen light, it was bright, I hated the brick, you have to park the bike close to an electrical outlet to be able to charge it. When it is really dark your eyes adjust to the bright light in front of you and everything else gets blacked out that is a problem if a large dog is running at you full speed not barking because you will not see him until he is right on you so I discovered. Scared the mess out of me. And you will miss turns if you don't know exactly where you are. The Bright Eyes is bright I had pedestrians shielding their eyes and cars flashing me so I was constantly adjusting the light on the fly. It had great distance but blinded everybody in front of me also could not see directly in front of my tire, that's not good. Tilt the light down so as not to blind everybody and I had good light in front of me but not much distance. Not a problem in the city but country roads are a different story.
The Outbound Lightening is not as bright but has a much wider field of view more defused light so you see the whole road well and don't have the dark tunnel effect. The second lenses is the bomb lights up my front tire and the road right in front of my front tire super well. Great design love the light, no more brick for me. Super convenient to pop the light on and off of the bike very secure mount the over all build quality is excellent.
I choked on the price a bit but after using the light a few times I got over that real quick. You gotta have good light if your going to ride dark country roads and this is a good light.
This is a real bike headlight not a strap on flashlight.

Really love the light and pattern it gives.

Been riding in the rain through the forests, far from cities in autumn. (Sweeden) Can't get darker than that. It's not the strongest light, there is. The beam is made in a way that you feel secure in seeing moose and other animals early enough. Do not blind oncoming traffic, so they don't give you the high beam treatment.
In a proper sweet spot, when it comes to light output, pattern and function.
Got a minor issue with the bike light, contacted Outbound Lightning.
Was resolved very professionally, so both buying and customer service when having issues are 5 star in treatment. I will strongly recommend this product.

The possibility of feeding, the light with a power bank gives unlimited running time.
Have not tried it, but it makes me feel more secure.

This light is fantastic! It appears incredibly sturdy and reliable. I’m thoroughly enjoying the diverse range of modes and the safety features it provides. The attachment is straightforward and sturdy. I feel like I’ve made a great purchase!

I am using it on a Yamaha Wabash RT gravel bike for road and trail use.

Best Lights I have ever Used: Trail Evo Handlebar Light, Hangover Light, and Detour Light

I enjoy weekend rides, whether on my road bike or mountain bike, and I've been using the Trail Evo Handlebar Light + Hangover Light + Detour Light. I can confidently say these are the best lights I’ve ever used!

The brightness of these lights is exceptional. They illuminate the path ahead, allowing me to see everything clearly as I ride in the early morning hours when visibility can be challenging, but the weather is cool :) I feel incredibly safe riding with them, knowing that I can spot any obstacles or changes in terrain well in advance.

The Trail Evo provides powerful illumination for down-hill rides, while the Hangover Light is great for added visibility from my helmet for where I look. The Detour Light is a fantastic Road headlight, ensuring I’m visible when I ride on roads and I also supplement this with the same Hangover Light from my helmet for where I need to look.

The build quality is well-though and durable. And the battery life for my rides are sufficient but there are options to help extend it.

Overall, I highly recommend Outbound Lighting’s Trail Evo, Hangover, and Detour Lights to any cyclist looking for top-notch visibility and safety.

Automotive headlights
For your bike

Bringing our automotive lighting experience to provide a clean cut-off beam pattern that evenly illuminates the road ahead. You wouldn't use a flashlight for your car, why use it for your bike?

Optical Engineering

This is the game changer. Not only did we bring the automotive grade cutoff beam pattern to your handlebars, we took it a step further by precisely controlling how much light leaves the light and hits the ground from the front of your tire all the way up to where you are looking. When you read "it's like riding in daylight" this is why.

We are the only USA-based manufacturer of cutoff (also referred to as StVZO) beam pattern bike lights, we also made sure the light has unreal width to light up the ditches and keep the spooky things away.

No wires.
No fuss.
No Problem.

Say goodbye to bulky battery packs, hanging wires, zipties, and rubber bands holding your lights on your handlebar.

Detour was designed with your ride in mind. Long runtime, easy mounting, broad panoramic beam, fast USB-C charging, and all backed by industry leading customer service.

Rock Solid Mounting

A good light isn’t so good if
it’s bouncing up and down on the bars all the time. That’s why we made a bolt-on clamp mount for Detour so it’s solidly locked to the bar, With a simple shim it adapts from 35mm to 31.8mm handlebars (25.4 and 22mm shims available) and the beam won’t shake around like lights with rubber strap mounts do.

Keep Life Simple

Few people read instruction manuals, even fewer want to, we keep our lights dead simple so that you don’t need an advanced degree to remember some complicated sequence of button presses to get to the mode you want.

USB-C pass-Thru Charging

We were one of the first to offer USB-C charging as standard, except we took it a step further by offering pass-through charging as well. This lets you plug in any USB power bank and charge the light while in use,
in any mode. Game changer for 24 hour races and extra long night rides!

Keeping Cool

When you pick up this light you might be surprised to not feel any metal. Plastic?! Must be something we used to be cheap isn't it? Far from it. This material we use is an incredibly cool (ha) engineered resin that is not only very durable, but also conducts heat. The result is a lightweight, durable, and thermally balanced light housing.

Make your Night ride enjoyable.

It can be sketchy riding at night when you are used to narrow beam patterns better suited for walking in the backyard. Our incredible optical engineering makes riding at night a joy again.
