Outbound Lighting, their products and the customer service
I purchased an Outbound Lighting Detour light in Feb for my ride from San Diego to Cabo this March. The light is quality built and provide very ample lighting in all applications, at night or in heavy fog. The daytime strobe setting was perfect on two-lane Mexican roads and gave me piece of mind that I was seen. Fantastic Light That's Well Worth the Price
I recently picked up my first gravel bike and knew I'd be riding at night on trails and would need to see the trails really well. I also wanted a light that was good during the daytime so oncoming drivers could see me. It excels at both of those and I'm very happy with the purchase!

Lifechanging?
Would it be hyperbole to declare this light life changing? Maybe.
This light is lifechanging. Excellent fov, excellent battery life, supremely bright when you need it, and the beam pattern makes fiddling with your mount angle a quick job.
I added the included mount to my mountain bike (35mm) bars, and bought the action camera adapter to mount underneath my out front mount on my gravel bike, it's super easy to swap between them depending on what I need.

Awesome light! But…..
I absolutely love my detour light and the people at outbound lighting!!! I would be giving a five star review but I have had an issue with water infiltration into the case. It has been repaired every time in a short amount of time . I have put this light to the test and it is either in nighttime mode or daytime strobe whenever I ride which is about 400 miles a month 12 months of the year. Thank you Tom for all the help!

You NEED these
The products that Outbound Lighting produces are superior to anything I've looked at or tried in the past. Having purchased the Trail Evo and Detour lights I can say that the quality is the same across the board. Fantastic.
Both in form and function, these lights do exactly what they are designed for, giving the rider a clearly defined and detailed view of the trail or road ahead. The optics in them are excellent, making very efficient use of the LED emitters. The lighting is even and powerful and their battery life is also excellent. I use one or both of these daily for 1.5 hours and I only recharge them once every other week. I've never had one die on me in the field and only "top them off" when I remember to.
I like the fact that I can order extra mounts and move them from one bike to another. Another aspect is the functions operate the same on both so there's nothing new to learn switching between the two. I like their products so much I will soon purchase their helmet mounted lights as well.

Rock Solid Mounting
A good light isn’t so good if it’s bouncing up and down on the bars all the time. That’s why we made a bolt-on clamp mount for Detour so it’s solidly locked to the bar, With a simple shim it adapts from 35mm to 31.8mm handlebars (25.4 and 22mm shims available) and the beam won’t shake around like lights with rubber strap mounts do.
