Well worth it

Most of my rides are at night to avoid the desert heat in AZ. I ride with large groups and see a lot of lights side by side. The trail Evo is by far my favorite. My only complaint would be the weight, but thats just the reality of having great battery life.
I typically ride about 2 hours and have never had the light die on me.

I had a small issue with the light flickering when it was first turned on in cold weather. I contacted Outbound and they emailed me a shipping label, fixed the light, and had it back to me all in all in less than a week. They really do stand by their product.

First ride.

Everyone told me I had to get these for night laps, naturally I was sceptical at this price point. One ride and I'm completely sold, bar light kept everything lit up like the 4th of July, and the head lamp allowed me to look through turns (really I could see anything I wanted to with the power of the sun on my helmet).

Evo & Hangover

I received the Evo & Portal lights for Christmas from my wife. I was surprised to see that she figured out that those lights were going to be my next purchase to let me ride after work. I’ve got some cheaper lights but they don’t really work that well. My buddy and I were getting caught out with the sun setting and miles left on our ride. The crappy lights weren’t cutting it and the end of my rides began to feel like an accident waiting to happen. So I was planning an upgrade since crashing and rehabbing keeps me from riding.
The lights were powerful and well-engineered (which I’m an engineer too so I could tell that the details were well thought out). The only negative (if you consider it a negative) was that my buddy couldn’t ride in front of me. My lights were totally washing out his and his body/bike were casting a shadow from my lights. So if you use these lights you will need to be the lead rider which is fine with me since I’m not getting dusted.
So if you say it’s too much money, I say really? I don’t have a bike less than 5K so look at it as an upgrade for your bike and a chance to ride more. And that’s priceless…

It’s not as good as expected - it’s BETTER

I had not tried night riding, but was interested as I have three young kids, and daytime shredding opportunities are few and far between.

My reason for sunless riding is also my reason for putting safety squarely at the forefront of my riding. Enter: outbound. I had looked at many other options, and ALMOST purchased them, but after reading how high quality and trustworthy these are, I took the plunge.

I have now done one nighttime ride (moonless), and one pre-dawn ride, and I have to say I am FLOORED. Completely agree with ability to ride at daytime speeds. We actually several times forgot that it was even nighttime.

Thank you, Outbound lighting. You’re the reason I can ride about 3-4x as much, and do so safely, and smiling ear to ear.

These mounts tho

Don’t get me wrong, the lights are AMAZING, but the mounts outshine these lights by far! I’ve had so many lights from so many other brands that just don’t hold the lights steady. These combos stand up to everything! Love em!

The EVOlution of the downhill:

Pushing your bike as hard as you do in the daytime requires some intense design requirements. A wide field of view, ability to see downrange and recognize objects quickly, and more importantly, an unbroken wall of light to keep your mind sharp and focused.

The Evo Downhill Package does just this, by pairing the extremely wide and powerful Trail Evo on the handlebars, and the lightweight and punchy Hangover on the helmet to give you an unwavering wall of light, even in the tightest of switchbacks. It's a lighting package that needs to be seen to believe!

Optically Engineered

Mind blowing, incredible, and game-changing are a few of the words used to describe how seamless and bright the Evo Downhill Package is.
