Bike Lights
Have had an Outbound Hangover since the beginning and LOVE it! I live and ride in a suburban area, not the trails, but need all the features! When I have to ride the streets, drivers are crazy... even the oncoming traffic, so I make sure they see me with the Hangover in daytime strobe mode. When I go ride the various 10-50mi paved trails in the area in the early morning, I use medium or adaptive modes, so the runners/walkers can see me approaching, but also so I can see things approaching me. On Thur of this week, the THING approaching me was a croc on the path. He scampered off thru the weeds and into the water (dark spot in the water just above the handlebars). The Hangover is perfect for a helmet mount OR a stem/bar mount. One key thing that lead me to the Outbound Hangover from the light I was running, is that my old light when powered on, generated enough signal interference to disconnect my wireless computer from the sensors on the bike. I changed to Outbound and never had that problem again. Outbound stands behind their products with an amazing and responsive team and the best warranty in the business! Thanks Outbound!! (now make me a tail light!.. I'd even take a Hangover with red lights).
I’ve been looking high and low for not just a great light, but one which enabled me to mount the light UNDER the handlebar without mounting the light upside down and throwing the light pattern the wrong direction or in the best case scenario, forcing you to turn it on and off via a button, now (upside down) on the bottom of the light!
This light has been extremely well thought out. I’ve been able to mount it under my bars with the light in the correct orientation and can still easily operate the button. If you can’t understand why having your headlight mounted UNDER your bars is important, than two things are obvious. Number one you’re riding in a park!🤣 Seriously, if you’re riding single tracks at NIGHT, it’s not IF you’re going over the bars, it’s WHEN. Secondly, if you’ve ever had to service your bike on a ride (like change or patch a tube), you know the easiest way to do that, whenever the trail permits, is to flip your bike upside down on your BARS and seat. If you’re light is mounted on top of your bars that makes service difficult and crashes calamitous for a headlight. AND I’m not some inconsiderate dick who just doesn’t give a shit because you guys are so awesome and will replace it. That’s all good but, any warranty claim would cause downtime which I’m trying to avoid. I say “trying” because again if you ain’t smashing, you ain’t crashing and I didn’t drop $8k on my bike just to ride it in the park on a warm Sunday afternoon. That having been said, both my Evo and my Portal purchases have been money well spent and though not cheap, if you’re ride is worthy of some worthy lights, look no further.
I got the lights and I was excited to try them out on my upcoming bike packing trip, but the mount did not clear my handlebar bag so I reached out to Customerservice and they custom 3-D printed a much taller light mount so the light would not interfere with any bike packing bags mounted up front so awesome. They have my business and I will be referring friends to this company. The mount is just as high quality and secure as the one that comes with it. Dont waste money on cheap anazon light mounts
Got this last night and took it for a 10pm start time ride up in the Utah Rocky Mountains. lit up the world, saw so many deer, elk and it never skipped a beat. Charged enough on the 1.5 hr drive that it lasted the few hours on adaptive mode that we rode.
The best lights — and the best people — in the bike industry.
I’ve been running Outbound Lighting gear for a while now, and let me tell you — these guys make the best lights in the business. Their products don’t just illuminate the trail; they transform how you ride. My Hangover + Evo setup literally saved me from running into coyotes and cacti while riding at night in Sedona, AZ.
Unfortunately, life threw me a curveball. During a trip where I was giving my mom one last adventure before transitioning her to hospice, I had my gear stolen — including my beloved Outbound lights. It was a gut punch. But when I reached out to the Outbound team (specifically Jason Wilcox), they went above and beyond in a way that left me speechless.
Jason didn’t just reply — he connected. He listened, empathized, and then did something that reminded me what small businesses and real customer care look like. He helped me get back on the trail with kindness and genuine support. I’ve worked in customer experience for years, and I’ve never seen a team do it better.
It’s rare these days to find a company that builds phenomenal products and treats customers like family. Outbound does both — flawlessly.
If you’re reading this and debating whether these lights are worth it: stop debating. Just buy them. You’re not only getting the best night-riding lights out there, but you’re supporting a team of good humans who actually care.
Outbound Lighting — you’ve earned a lifetime customer and an unofficial brand ambassador in me. Thank you, Jason and team (and Penny 🐶)!

This light is a game changer! You guys should offer a referral program of some kind. After one group ride a buddy ordered one for himself and on the second group ride another guy said he was ordering one as well. Everything about this light is top notch - it's hefty, well built, easy to use, securely mounts to the bar and throws just the right amount of light. Thank you for making a quality product!
Works great, so well made and awesome customer service.
Super simple, solid, bright and attaches so nicely to the bikes without wires or annoying rattling (lots of rocks here in Utah and you don’t hear or notice any abnormal movement). The front headlight mounted is so bright I was unsure if I even needed the portal (helmet mounted light), but later decided it’s really nice to have for a more mobile and general lighting around you for looking in packs, at bike etc. it also can serve as a Great back up light if your headlight begins to die! The best lights honestly. Worth the price. Super cool company. Looking forward to using these a ton this winter and really comfortable with their warranty and support from damaging or crashing (lol). Go Bears!!! 🐻
Its more than just a light for your bike. Its the gateway to experience a whole different type of riding. Its not cheap, I get that, but thats because its NOT cheap. So do yourself a favor and skip over every other light made for a bike and get this one and be done with it. You'll be happy you did.

With it getting dark at 7pm I was worried that after work rides on the mountain were over. Nope. Got these lights and it turned night into day. Now there’s a bunch of us riding after work, and hey, why not? Life is short and it isn’t ski season yet.
I’m a gear snob, and I love the light through and through. Incredibly well optioned, yet simple to operate, and most importantly so lightweight you don’t feel it on your helmet. USB-C charging is a massive plus—letting you cut down on random chargers and allowing you to last minute charge on the way to the trails. Go ahead and get the combo, or be like me and sell your other lights immediately to get the Evo as well.
Outbound detour is a fantastic light! Super bright and great to be seen. Crashed on a night ride first time out with it (my fault). Light was so bright cars easily saw me, stopped and help piece myself back together. Wouldn’t trust anything else!
Yeah just stop, you found the best lights you’re ever gonna stick on your bike. This can be considered a safety thing. Just as important as a seat belt. Buy it.
Installed using the action cam adapter under a k-edge combo mount. Nice and solid. Light is great. The low is brighter than needed for the long slow climbs but it could be that I’m used to less light. I use a 18650 zebralight on the helmet to supplement in the twisties. Well designed product.
Light was super easy to set up and works great! Have only had it on 1-1.5 hour rides so far, but paired with a headlamp, this thing is a total weapon. Have already recommended OL to all my friends so they can bike in the dark with me.
The Best Bike Lights for your helmet and handlebar with performance so powerful you'll forget you are riding at night.
