See what you've been missing.

Two lights make for a game-changing night ride.

See what you've been missing.

Each Light Designed With Purpose

Evo lights the trail. Portal lights the line.

Evo on the bar throws a wide, even wall of light so the trail has depth. Portal on the helmet is tighter, reaching down the trail and into corners wherever you look.

We design both optics in-house and tune them to overlap in martial bliss, not fight.

Full power when you need it. More runtime when you don't.

Adaptive starts on high, then eases down slowly as your eyes adjust to the dark. You don't notice the change, you just get more ride out of the battery. When the pack gets low it drops to a get-home level and holds there for about 20 minutes.

  • Portal: 2.6 h adaptive, measured
  • Evo: 2.6 h adaptive, measured
  • 20 min get-home reserve

We break them so you don't have to.

Magnesium shell on Evo, thermally conductive nylon on Portal, both sealed against the elements and overmolded in soft TPU so a rock strike scuffs the rubber, not the lens.

Our lights have been crashed, chewed on, ran over, dropped and even lit on fire. Everything still covered.

One button. Any charger.

Click on, hold to change mode. That's the manual. Both lights charge over USB-C from the same brick as your phone, faster on QC 3.0. Plug a power bank in mid-ride and the light keeps running in any mode, which is how people get through 24-hour races on these.

Mounts up in seconds.

Two lights, two mounts, no tools.

Handlebar mount

Trail Evo on the bar

Quick release mount, no tools. Clicks in, clicks out, and stays put over rocks and drops.

Helmet mount

Low profile, centred, and out of the way of your goggles. Points where you look.

Pick your setup

One light gets you home. Two lights let you ride like it's daytime. Match the setup to how you actually ride.

Trail Evo Handlebar Light

$245 USD

  • Wide, even flood from the bar. Plenty on its own for flowy trails, and it's the light in every package below.
  • Best for: Fast, non-technical trails, gravel and commuting. Or the bar half of a two-light setup if you already own a helmet light.
This package

Portal Downhill Package (Evo & Portal)

$425 USD

  • Evo on the bar shows you the trail. Portal on the helmet shows you where you're about to go. Same charger, same warranty, and neither one runs out before you do.
  • Best for: Enduro, downhill, technical trails and long nights out.

Evo Downhill Package (Evo & Hangover)

$375 USD

  • Same Evo on the bar, Hangover on the helmet. Hangover runs a smaller battery, so it's lighter on your head but gives up some output and runtime. If your descents are short or you mostly ride on sight, this is the one.
  • Best for: All-round trail riding where you want a helmet light but not the full Portal setup.

Frequently asked questions

My bike has an integrated bar/stem. Can I mount Trail Evo?

Usually, yes. If your integrated bar has an accessory fitting on the front or underside (Trek RSL with Blendr, Roval Control, most Scott Syncros IC bars with the two threaded holes), we have a mount that attaches there. If the bar has no mounting features at all, email us with your bike model and we'll tell you honestly what works and what doesn't.

For round bars, the stock mount fits 35 mm and 31.8 mm. Shims for 25.4 mm and 22.2 mm are in Accessories.

Will Portal fit my helmet?

Portal uses a standard GoPro-style mount interface, so any action-camera mount works, including third-party strap mounts. Portal ships with a curved adhesive base that fits most trail and enduro helmets. Wide and notched bases are available for helmets with a flat centre section or a screw-in mount boss (Smith Forefront, some Giro). On a full-face, the stock base usually sits on the visor, or use the wide base on the shell behind it.

Not sure? Email us a photo of the top of your helmet and we'll tell you which base to use.

How long do they actually run?

Depends on the mode. In adaptive mode both lights run about 2.6 hours from full to the low-battery warning, measured on the bench at riding-speed airflow. Trail Evo does 1.7 hours on high, 4.2 on medium, 8.5 on low. After the warning you get roughly 20 minutes at a get-home level. Full curves for every mode on both lights are in the Runtime section above.

Can I extend runtime with a power bank?

Yes. Both lights pass-through charge in every mode. Plug the bank in from the start of the ride, not when the light is dying, and it charges while you go. A QC 3.0 or better bank keeps up with high output. A low-power USB source like an eBike display port will slow the drain but won't stop it.

What charger do I need? Does it work in Europe?

Any USB-C charger, anywhere in the world. Your phone brick works. A QC 3.0 or better charger is fastest: Trail Evo goes 0 to 80% in about 3 hours and Portal in about 2 hours, then both trickle the last 20%. C-to-C cables work fine; a C-to-A cable is in the box and a C-to-C is available.
