Turns out there's a ton of different unique seat posts out there, so we partnered with Sheehy Labs to offer custom mounts designed specifically for many of the D-shaped and aero seat posts on the market. The stock mount included with Blade fits round posts from 27.2 mm to 31.6 mm. If your post is anything other than round, these have you covered.

Sheehy Labs designed these by 3D scanning all these proprietary seat posts, then 3D printing each one in fiber-reinforced nylon to the exact profile and angle of your seat post, so Blade sits square and stays put. Same quarter-turn interface as the stock mount. Most weigh under 16 grams, all are made in the USA.

Round post? Blade's stock mount will work, so you don't need to buy this. But if you want a rigid, non-adjustable mount that sits closer to the seat post, this is an option for you.

How to tell what post you have
Round post

Look for a marking on the post itself. If you can't find one you may have to remove the post from the frame to see it. The diameter is usually printed on there (27.2mm, 30.9mm, and so on). No marking? Measure the diameter with calipers.

If your post is round then the stock mount that comes with Blade will work out of the box. The Sheehy Labs mount is a good option if you want something lower profile and non-adjustable.

Not round

Teardrop, oval, D-shaped, seat masts, anything like this is bike-specific. Select your brand and model of frame in the selector tool above and it tells you which mount you need, and if we don't stock it yet, a link to where you can get it.

Questions people actually ask

My bike isn't listed. Now what?

Sheehy Labs makes mounts for around 40 brands and we stock the ones that cover the most bikes. Search your model in the selector: if we don't carry it, it gives you the Sheehy part number to order direct. Not on their list either? Use the request box in the selector so we know what to stock next, and email us a photo of your seat post if you want a second opinion.

High clearance or low clearance?

High clearance clears an external seat post clamp or a frame bump on the trailing edge of the post. That's most bikes. Low clearance is for bikes with an internal seat post clamp, or if you want the mount tighter and higher on the post. Not sure? Get high clearance.

Does this replace the mount in the Blade box?

Yes. Blade ships with a round seat post mount that fits most bikes. This one is shaped for your specific post, bolts on, and doesn't adjust. Blade clicks in with the same quarter turn.

What is it made of?

3D printed fiber-reinforced nylon, matte black, printed by Sheehy Labs in Rhode Island. Sheehy tests these to hold 175 lb. Most weigh under 16 g.

How do I install it?

No need to pull your seat post. Back out the two stainless screws with the included 2 mm hex key, open the mount, wrap it around the post, and tighten until the gap closes, then a bit more so it can't slide. The screws go in at 45 degrees, so you may need to squeeze the mount to line them up. Don't use a ball-end key and don't strip the screw heads. Spares are in the box.

Will it hold a radar too?

Same quarter-turn interface as Garmin Varia, Wahoo Trackr and similar radars, so yes. It uses a Wahoo quarter-turn insert, so the device only locks in by turning clockwise. One mount holds one device.

What's the warranty?

Same as everything else we sell. If it breaks, be kind and honest with us and we'll sort it out.
