I, now cyclops of light and beamer of the ‘luz’ have the power with the help of the angels of outbound, the ability to super-illuminate the dark!! those peons on my pre-dawn commute bow and salute me and the greatness of my laser like beam (hangover) that scans where I command it, warning approaching targets with a tracking brilliance unknown to the savage animals around me. My lighthouse beacon (detour) warns others of my impassable prescience, at times awakening the sleeping nomadic tribes sleep along the bike path and sometimes they respond with a vibrant “FUN YOU” (or something like that) when the sheer violence of illumination wakes them from their slumber. I feel safer and am able to extract my revenge on the “i use high beams all the time while driving my car” tribes that harass me on my dark morning commutes.
You really have to experience the lights in a dark trail or dark gravel road yourself. My first words were “ WoW” followed by “Holy S€#¥! I own 3 of these lights now ! Don’t waste your money or energy on anything else. Ya’ll light up my life ! Thanks guys!
I really wanted to leave a one star because the lights work amazing, they quickly replaced a faulty light under warranty, they are super nice people, and now I don’t use my other lights anymore. I have the same high expectations of everyone else now. Great, just great.
These lights are amazing I literally had to stop on the trail 3 times because deer didn’t know what to do. So much coverage. Really makes night riding enjoyable
Light was acting odd not fully turning on , Outbound lighting quickly sent a prepaid postage and took care of the problem seamlessly and within 4 days lighting was returned good as new back in business. Thank you Outbound!!
After using outbound products for YEARS I could not wait to upgrade to the new Portal downhill package. Ordered a set for my son who is racing NICA this year also for later after school practices. WE LOVE THIS SETUP!! It blows me away how well the Evo handlebar light with the Portal helmet light works. After riding when I get in my truck I have to let my eyes adjust to the headlights because they are not as good as my Outbound lighting setup. Fifty stars!! Well Done!!
Holds the light solidly, easy to adjust, and the thumb screw is better than the hex bolt from the original version. It's nice to have extras for multiple bikes.
My riding consists of mostly gravel, two track and back roads. The Detour provides more than enough light to see what is in front of you when the darkness seems to swallow lesser lights. I’m sure that oncoming riders and vehicles appreciate the cutoff beam pattern as to not burn their retinas out! Next purchase will be the Hangover helmet light. Thanks for superior lighting Matt!

I bought this to replace the 4(?) year old version that came with my evo when I first got it. I was getting a wobble and noticed the notches were a little wallowed out. New one fixed the problem.
I do wish there were a 31.8 specific clamp so I didn't need to faff with the spacer, and I'd prefer a larger hex head on the bolt to make it harder to strip. Overall the clamp does its job and the lights still rule years later.
Great light, even better customer service. With a past light I didn't catch a down tree and hooked the light, tore right out of the mount. 100% my fault and if the light mount hadn't broke I hit it hard enouch someting else would've. They repaired and sent back. Hands down best customer service.

The two lights that were kindly sent to me two years ago have since been broken (due to crashes) and warrantied multiple times. On one occasion a warranty light was overnighted to me before a flight out of the country to race an ultra.

The bike industry has made and unmade my life. I am a bitter woman with little good to say about the doodads and gizmos being hawked everytime I open my phone.
Outbound is run by kind souls who warm my cold heart. I believe in the people and the lights. When someone asks me about my stupid bike I tell them "I don't think you should have Bluetooth sensors on your wheel nor would I ever pay for them but I'll tell ya what this Outbound light is the best damn thing I own."
I've recently installed and run this light on my 2021 giant tcr with the aero seat post. One thing to note that was not clear to me when I made this purchase is that the seat post mount that comes with the blade can not be mounted to an aero seat post like the tcr has. I swear I read all the information on the outbound site before placing my order but I didn't realize it only supported round seat posts. Anyways I ordered a compatible mount through sheehy, and the fit is excellent. I'll keep putting the light through its paces but so far so good.
Best lights on the market, this was a warranty replacement for a five year old light that suddenly stopped working well out of warranty. Replaced at no cost, no questions asked!
Needed one for the boss last. Now we both have it. Definitely the best self contained light on the market.
Last Week I hit a deer going 75 in the manistee national forest with headlights shattered i drove 20 miles ace ventura style with this light and myself hanging out the window. once again outbound has saved the day and got me back to base camp
