Best warranty yet
About a month before the warranty expired, the casing on my outbound light snapped open. I reached out to the company via email, and Jason W. responded promptly and handled the issue with care. Total Package
About 4 rides and 100 miles in, I like it. The mount is secure, it's easy to aim, the beam is bright and spreads a bit, the cutoff bean means I can use it abroad. I use it for daytime flash and riding at dusk for climbs and descents. The wider beam definitely helps going around corners. You'll still need a helmet light to look deep into corners.

Warranty in action
My Detour light had a water infiltration due to one big rain and stopped working soon thereafter. I was asked to return it with a provided shipping label and a few days later I had a new light, including a new mount and cable. Amazing service. However I would have liked to know what was wrong with the light, because it would have been a current story if I was traveling or on a multi-day excursion.

Great Lighting For Road Bike Communting
While I have only had the Detour Bike Light for a short period of time, I have been really impressed with it so far. Some of the things I like are:
- Fast shipping, the company shipped it out to me as soon as I ordered it.
- Ease of installation, I had it mounted on my bike very fast, the additional collar made sure it fit my handlebar securely.
- Ease of use, the single button is easy to depress, even with gloves on.
- USB C connection, having it charge from USB C is very handy as I don't have to carry many different USB cables.
- Rugged construction, this light just feels solid and well-made. It instills confidence that the light will last a long time.
- Made in America, even though I am Canadian, I appreciate that it is made in the United States and is not a cheap Chinese import.

Rock Solid Mounting
A good light isn’t so good if it’s bouncing up and down on the bars all the time. That’s why we made a bolt-on clamp mount for Detour so it’s solidly locked to the bar, With a simple shim it adapts from 35mm to 31.8mm handlebars (25.4 and 22mm shims available) and the beam won’t shake around like lights with rubber strap mounts do.
