Awesome light, awesome company

I frequently ride in the early morning before work, so that means using lights for about 1/3 of the year. I also like to ride technical trails, sometimes trails I haven't ridden before. With my Trail Evo and Portal combo, I can usually ride at a large percentage of my daytime speed with confidence. I'll usually pick the low setting to climb and and adaptive setting for DH. Sometimes the high setting if I'm on a high speed unfamiliar trail. This comfortably gets me 4h of ride time between charges. I also love that when my light had water intrusion, it got repaired instead of replaced.

These lights are unreal! Took them out for their first night ride on wire mesa in southern UT. Lit up the trail, felt like I had daylight visibility, so fun. Commuting all winter with these lights made me confident that I was seen and could navigate the darkest of paths. The company is incredible as well. Their customer service is off the charts. They helped me with a warranty of one of the lights with swiftness even though it was likely user error. I recommend these lights to everyone whether on trail, commuting, or out for gravel adventures. This is truly a stellar company with fantastic products.

Incredible performance, incredible warranty

I’ve got the Trail Evo. It is bright, and the light has more stamina than I do.

After a particularly wet winter cross-country randonnée I had some performance issues from water ingress. A Couple emails and a couple weeks later they send me a new one.

Don’t muck about. Get the best. “Buy once, cry once” as the old timers say.

can’t charge it

Was nice at first but i couldn’t never recharge it. the cable doesn’t seem to fit in slot. never showed it was charging waste of money

Hi Lori, we check all our lights for charging right before we box them up, so my gut says the USB-C we included is just not fully seated into the light, as it is an intentionally tight fit to be waterproof and vibration resistant for Pass-Thru Charging while riding to extend runtime. If you align the plug and push firmly on the back until it is fully inserted, it should start charging. I see you sent a separate email shortly before posting this review, so I'll respond there in more detail to get you taken care of quickly.

When we developed Evo’s beam pattern, we knew we could go wider and brighter, so we redefined our illumination goals, target candela points, beam angles, and then went to work simulating, testing, prototyping and developing the most seamless pattern we've built to date.

The extreme width is thanks to the finely tuned blended Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics. Hundreds of simulations with Lucidshape software let us squish, squeeze, stretch and shape the light to hit that perfect balance of peak brightness, smooth falloff and insane peripheral coverage.
