The EVOlution of the downhill:

Pushing your bike as hard as you do in the daytime requires some intense design requirements. A wide field of view, ability to see downrange and recognize objects quickly, and more importantly, an unbroken wall of light to keep your mind sharp and focused.

The Evo Downhill Package does just this, by pairing the extremely wide and powerful Trail Evo on the handlebars, and the lightweight and punchy Hangover on the helmet to give you an unwavering wall of light, even in the tightest of switchbacks. It's a lighting package that needs to be seen to believe!

Optically Engineered

Mind blowing, incredible, and game-changing are a few of the words used to describe how seamless and bright the Evo Downhill Package is.

Advanced Optical Engineering

We meticulously tune our beam patterns in-house with LucidShape software over hundreds of hours to create a custom optic design for every light we make. These aren’t off-the-shelf flashlight reflectors with simple round spot beams.

All the designing, simulating, prototyping, and trail testing is to ensure you get the most out of every lumen produced by aiming them exactly where they need to go on the trail.

With the Evo DH Package, we balanced the output and beams to complement each other perfectly. Evo on the bars gives a super-wide, evenly lit coverage, giving the trail depth and doing the heavy lifting. While the Hangover fires far down the trail to spot your landing and through corners, all with outstanding peripheral coverage so you don’t miss a thing at speed.

Your lightweight companion.

Slim, punchy, and powerful describe the featherweight Hangover for your helmet. Designed to help you see deep into corners and spot the spooky stuff.

Rock Solid Mounting

A good light isn’t so good if it’s bouncing up and down on all the time. That’s why we made a bolt-on clamp mount for Evo. It’s solidly locked to the bar and the beam won’t shake around like lights with rubber strap mounts do.

It's an easy one-handed quick-release process to pop Trail Evo off post-ride to charge.

Hangover uses the tried-and-tested action camera mount to securely mount to your helmet just like cameras have for years.

Refreshingly Simple

Few people read instruction manuals, even fewer want to, so we keep our lights dead simple so that you don’t need an advanced degree to remember a complicated sequence of button presses get to the mode you want.

Thermally Engineered

High power bike lights get hot, that is why we use our engineering prowess to keep them cool. Utilizing another industry first, we collect air through a scoop underneath the light, and pass it through the light, cooling all nine LED's on Trail Evo that are spread apart to balance the heat load.

Trail Evo USB-C Recharging

USB-C pass-thru charging

We were one of the first to offer USB-C charging as standard, except we took it a step further by offering pass-through charging as well. This lets you plug in any USB power bank and charge the light while in use, in any mode, for ANY light. Game changer for 24 hour races and extra long night rides!

Frequently asked questions

Which light goes where? Is this any different from buying both?

Evo on the bar, Hangover on the helmet. Evo throws the wide, even floor that gives the trail depth; Hangover points down the trail and into corners wherever you look. Neither converts to the other job well. The package is exactly the two lights you'd buy separately, shipped together in one box.

I have an integrated bar/stem. Can I mount Evo?

Usually. If your bar has an accessory fitting on the front or underside (Trek RSL Blendr, Roval Control, newer Scott Syncros IC), put a GoPro-style adapter there and use our Action Camera QR Mount. If it has no fittings at all, there's no clean answer yet, so email us a photo and we'll tell you straight. Round bars: 35 mm and 31.8 mm out of the box, 25.4 and 22.2 shims on the accessories page.

Will Hangover fit my helmet?

It's a standard GoPro interface, so any action-camera mount works. The curved adhesive base in the box fits most helmets. Flat centre panels or vent gaps (POC, Trek WaveCel, Smith Forefront) want the Wide base; a centre ridge (TLD A2, Leatt) wants the Notched base. Don't want tape on your lid? GoPro's Vented Helmet Strap Mount works great. Not sure? Email us a photo of the top of your helmet.

What are the lumens?

Trail Evo: 2200 high, 880 medium, 440 low. Hangover: 1000 high, 400 medium, 200 low. We don't headline the numbers because they say nothing about where the light goes, and the two beams are shaped to overlap, not to fight each other.

How long do they run?

Evo: adaptive 2.6 h, high 1.7, medium 4.2, low 8.5. Hangover: adaptive 1.6 h, high 1.1, medium 2.9, low 6.5. All bench-measured from full to the low-battery warning at riding-speed airflow. Both give you about 20 minutes of get-home light after the warning.
